PROGRAM HISTORY
2012-2015
The Alabama Truth program was chartered and incorporated in the Winter of 2011 where we took a group of gifted young players (both academically and athletically) from North Alabama and introduced them to the world of AAU Basketball. Our goal was to become one of the leading clubs in the region and have a positive impact in the community. In our first year, we took a team of 5th graders and quickly became recognized state-wide by winning the YBOA State tournament and finished #8 in the country at the YBOA Nationals. Over the next three years, our team featured some of the top talent in the state of Alabama where players went on to play on the collegiate level and professionally. By the time our players reached 9th grade, organizations from all over the southeast began reaching out to our players. In the Spring of 2015 our top eight players decided to welcome the challenge by accepting the invite to play for “shoe sponsored” teams such as Alabama Challenge, Team Carol, and Bledsoe Ice. From 2012 to 2015 we had three different age groups where they all reached similar success in the classroom and on the court.
2021 - Present
In 2021, we decided to refresh Alabama Truth with some of the top 6th graders in North Alabama.
From 2022 – 2023, we participated on the Under Armour Future Circuit as 7 th and 8 th graders where we had similar success in the Under Armour Regional/National events to include other major tournaments throughout the country. During the course of the past 2 years representing the Under Armour brand, we continued to compete at a high level defeating some notable teams: Pro One (Alabama), Pro One (Tennessee), DC Premier (DC), Drive Nation (TX), Martin Bros (IA), RL9 (TX), Atlanta Xpress (GA), Top Notch Black (TN), Skills Center Elite (FL), Redline Elite (Ga), Team Mookie Betts (Ga), Texas Grind (TX), JSI Elite (AL), Team Huncho (Ga), TSF (Ga), BMaze Elite (TN), The Grind is Real (Fl), AE5 (Ga), AJ Bouye Elite (Ga), All Arkansas Red (Ar), Team Driven (Al), etc……
